Vraj Shroff

Vraj Shroff is a University of Pennsylvania student pursuing an accelerated master's degree in systems engineering with a bachelor's degree in computer science and economics (double major). Vraj has taken several classes in the Wharton School as well, supplementing his quantitative and analytical coursework with business knowledge.

Vraj has diverse work experience. He has worked for a start-up as a project manager intern, supervising teams in India, Russia, and the United States. With that, he has also worked as a technical program manager intern for Facebook and Google, designing and implementing end-to-end technical solutions to meet business needs. Regardless of the role and the task at hand, he is always eager to learn and deliver results above and beyond what is asked of him.

Through his involvement with Wharton, Vraj has had a lot of industry experience in management, technology, and healthcare. He is always looking for new opportunities to enhance his skill set and gain expertise in these sectors and their intersection.

  • Defined 15+ growth, usability, and success metrics for our product by leading collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Performed quantitative analysis of our product by creating custom dashboards and finding user pain points through SQL.
  • Conducted user interviews for feature prioritization and roadmap planning and brought alignment with the team with periodic updates.
  • Identified passive users through data analysis; disabling their workloads resulted in annual saving of 4,800 days of machine time.

  • Completed Google Cloud project with an annual ROI of millions of dollars to aid in predictive maintenance of data centers.
  • Designed and developed a technical tool using Python for the ETL, extract-transform-load, data integration process.

  • Supervised five technical projects and provided programming expertise to teams from three different continents.
  • Wrote Python scripts to scrape data and created a dataset of 7 million properties, each with 250 variables.
